| Is AARP Mahjongg free to play? |
Completely free. No hidden fees, no premium tier, nothing to unlock. |
| Do I need to be an AARP member to play? |
Nope. Anyone can play, member or not. |
| Do I need to download anything? |
Not a thing. It runs right in your browser — just open the page and start playing. |
| How do you play AARP Mahjongg? |
Click two matching tiles to remove them from the board. The catch is that a tile has to be “free” before you can select it — meaning nothing is sitting on top of it and at least one of its sides is open. Clear every tile and you win. |
| What tile sets and layouts are available? |
There are several board layouts ranging from open and forgiving to tightly stacked and tricky, plus a few different tile design themes. You can pick your combination in the settings before you start. |
| What happens if I get stuck? |
Hit the Hint button and it’ll highlight a valid match for you. If the board feels completely locked up, the Shuffle button rearranges the remaining tiles and gives you fresh options to work with. |
| Is there a time limit? |
There’s a timer so you can see how long each board takes you, but it won’t cut your game short. Play as slowly as you want — no pressure. |
| Do I need an account to play? |
No account needed. You can jump straight in as a guest. |
| Can I save my game progress? |
If you’re logged in, your scores and stats save automatically. Playing as a guest works fine, but your progress probably won’t stick around after you close the browser. |
| What devices and browsers are supported? |
It works on desktop, tablet, and mobile. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all handle it fine — if you’re using a reasonably up-to-date browser, you should be good to go. |
| The game is not loading — what should I do? |
Just try refreshing the page. |
| Who can I contact for help? |
If you’re still running into trouble, head over to our Contact form and we’ll get back to you. |
